    Job Purpose:

    Reporting to the Residual Risk Manager, the Residual Manager will be responsible for managing the development and operation of tools and processes to project residual values. This will include analysing data and market value estimations to provide the most profitable outcome.  As the industry is fast moving, the Residual Manager will need to be proactive and provide recommendations to manage future trends such as electric vehicles.


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Monitor industry trends to actively manage the residual value setting process and ensure the residual values are aligned to the industry climate

    • Analyse the sales and fleet valuations and provide reports internally and also to HQ on sales performance

    • Provide data, reports and issue recommendations internally on the performance of vehicles and residuals

    • Identify areas for improvement to the current processes which will increase accuracy and create efficiencies

    • Maintain appropriate rental stock levels  including purchasing rentals

    • Identify, drive and measure cost efficiencies and savings on behalf of the business

    • Assist in maintaining the residual matrix on a monthly basis to monitor used vehicle values

    • Prepare reports for the monthly residual meetings and attend committee meetings

    • Assist with early terminations calculations as required


    Key Requirements:

    • Technical knowledge and/or experience within the motor industry is an advantage

    • At least 3 years’ experience with at least some of this experience gained in an analytical role

    • Previous motor sales experience would be very beneficial

    • Full Clean Driving Licence

    • Good product knowledge of the various makes and models would be of benefit

    • Good interpersonal skills – to deliver excellent customer service to clients and build and maintain strong internal work relationships

    • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure

    • Strong excel skills with experience of analysing data

    • Ability to work and contribute within team environment

    • Professional; courteous; calm and efficient

    • Good administrative and computer skills, with high standard of accuracy

    • Self-motivated, positive individual with drive, enthusiasm and commitment
