    Established in 1999 Merrion Fleet Management has grown to become Ireland's largest independent fleet management company with a team of almost 60 dedicated staff throughout all departments. We pride ourselves on exceptional service with our mission being to deliver to our customers the highest standard of fleet management services together with our supply partners through innovation and technology while investing in our team to ensure we surpass customer expectations.
    Who We Are
    Located at our new purpose built facility in Sandyford, Merrion Fleet is managed by a team of experienced professionals with over 100 years motoring experience, currently managing in excess of 6.000 vehicles, with fleet sizes ranging from 1 to 750 vehicles. By independent we mean that we are a private Irish company that is owned by the directors and managers who work in the business on a full-time basis. We are not owned by or affiliated to a particular bank or car manufacturer, which allows us to act independently and in our clients' best interests at all times. It also enables us to concentrate on our core business, Fleet Management and Vehicle Leasing.

    We are forward-thinking in our vision for the future and we are constantly reviewing new innovations, including alternative-fuel vehicles, tracking systems and mobile applications technology in order to offer the best and most effective solutions to our clients.

    As Merrion Fleet Management has grown over the past 15 years we have done so in partnership with our customers. We have evolved to ensure we can work with both national and international customers catering for their fleets throughout the island of Ireland in addition to having the products and services to deliver for their European fleet requirements.

    Meet our board of directors

    David Hurley CEO David is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland and a member of the Institute of Tax. He has previously held senior positions with a large accountancy firm and a large PLC both in Ireland and abroad.
    David Wilkinson Commercial Director Increasing Merrion's overall customer base as well as strategic development of Merrion's business.
    Sarah Dunn Finance Director Sarah is a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and has previously worked in the corporate division of a large PLC.
    Tony Mc Ardle Non-executive Director Tony spent 36 years with UIster Bank where he held a variety of positions culminating in Group Chief Operating Officer.
    Nigel Stead Non-executive Director Nigel is the previous Managing Director of Lex Autolease in the UK. Lex Autolease have been Merrion Fleet Management's UK partner through Athlon Car Lease International since 2002.

    Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

    Merrion Fleet is distinctly aware of our Corporate Social Responsibility. Ensuring that we operate in a professional and responsible manner when it comes to CSR is something we take very seriously


    One of the most notable areas of concern is that of Co2 emissions. We pride ourselves in working with both suppliers and customers to reduce emissions throughout all vehicles. Offering best practice advice around the right fleet including:

    • The right vehicles for the right tasks.
    • Electric vehicles where possible
    • Driving guidelines around emissions reductions
    • Technological and innovative products around encouraging cleaner and safer driving.
    • We work to contribute positively to the development of the leasing industry

    Our CFO is an electric vehicle driver as is the pool car, both used and favoured by all the team here in Merrion Fleet.


    Merrion Fleet is passionate about its role in the local community and to this end we are partners with many community organisations to promote and encourage co-operation around Family, sports, teamwork and collaboration

    Our partnerships to date include Naomh Olaf’s GAA, Rathdown school and Monkstown Hockey Club where we sponsor the teams and events.

    We are also proud to contribute to many Irish charities on an ongoing Basis and both the business and staff work to contribute where we can to good causes.

    Merrion fleet seeks to develop long-term relationships with our customers becoming partners not merely providers. We look to consult and advise through all areas of the leasing process from initial consultations through financing, maintenance and vehicle disposal at the end of contract we ensure a transparent relationship built on trust and mutual respect.


    Merrion fleet suppliers are a vital component in the provision of our products and Services. We operate a policy that fairly selects suppliers based on a set of criteria as agreed by Merrion Fleet. These criteria also set out the behavioural responsibility of our staff involved in procurement.
